Baby Girl Born today = PEACE emergent
Yesterday I listen to Chanticleer singing Gabriela Lena Frank's "Jalapeno Blues" To quote St. Paul Sunday host, "This 'orchestra of voices,' as Chanticleer is often described, is in top form in all styles, and you'll not want to miss the moving experience of hearing them sing each and every gem they've brought.
Jalapeno Blues is based on the poetry of Trinidad Sanchez and after I heard it and thought about the birth of a third granddaughter. I composed this poem. Out of all the madness of our times, the message of hope and peace emerged from the previous post to become the 444444s of July.

In 1995, Trinidad was the winner of the Albuquerque Poetry Slam Competition and went on to the National Poetry Slam the same year. His anti-gun, anti-crime poem "Let Us Stop the Madness" was selected as one of the winning poems of the People's Choice Competition. In 1995, Trinidad was the winner of the Albuquerque Poetry Slam Competition and went on to the National Poetry Slam the same year. enjoyed the genius way you post your poems; as both image and word - also helps retain those copyrights!
